Elka Ritchie MIEx, International Trade Adviser, Yorkshire and the Humber, Department for International Trade outlines details of support that is currently available and how businesses can apply:
- SME Brexit Support Fund could give up to £2,000 to help with training or professional advice on import/export related changes. It is aim at UK business with up to 500 employees and no more than £100 million annual turnover. The application portal is live now.
- Export Academy Programme is for businesses who are either new to exporting or looking to enter new markets. The programme is free of charge and consists of 9 workshops where companies’ representatives will hear from industry experts who will cover the keys areas of exporting. The new series of the Export Academy Programme is due to start in late April, please click here to register for the new series and our team will contact you as soon as dates for the workshops have been confirmed.
- Internationalisation Fund for English businesses aims to assist SME’s to improve international trade performance through co-investment funding between £1k and £9 (subject to eligibility and availability). The funding can be used for different type of export/international sales and marketing activities such as internationalisation of website, overseas exhibitions, translations, consultancy fees, others.
