Sheffield Innovation Programme funding support
The Sheffield Innovation Programme offers funding support to scope out and develop projects between SMEs in the SCR and academics at The University of Sheffield and Sheffield Hallam University.

COVID-19 Rapid Response Rolling Call
The COVID-19 Rapid Response Rolling Call is a joint initiative from the DHSC, through the NIHR, and UKRI. This funding is for UK-led academic, SME and wider industry research that will address a wide range of COVID-19 knowledge gaps/needs, and which will lead to a benefit in public health within 12 months.

Support request for life-saving medical equipment from Sheffield Mayor Dan Jarvis
South Yorkshire’s manufacturers have already played a significant role in the production of ventilators for the NHS. Now the Mayor is asking industry to offer their help making Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) – such as gowns, visors, masks, gloves and hand sanitiser.

20/3/2020 Government:
The announcement on the Gov.uk website lists the various business support measures available and who is administering them – it is comprehensive & updated as they add additional measures.
The ‘business interruption’ loan scheme (up to £5m loans) will launch next week and will be delivered through the British Business Bank and lenders.
20/03/2020 Bank of England:
The measures on 11th March included a term funding scheme aimed at SMEs delivered via the banks. Ask your bank about support.

* the Bank will publish a dedicated webpage for corporates seeking to use the CCFF as soon as possible.
