While our summer social took place less than 24 hours after World Cup heartbreak for England fans, attendees quickly banished the blues and were in high spirits.

Almost 100 people joined us at Cambridge Street’s Kumo Highball Bar, taking full advantage of the scenic rooftop terrace to escape the heat.

Two incredible local start-ups, Loro Crisps and Future Greens, shared their inspiring journeys. They highlighted how collaborating with both Sheffield universities through the South Yorkshire Innovation Programme (SYIP)—among many others—played a crucial role in their success.

The Innovation Network team would like to extend a big thank you to our attendees, speakers, Cambridge Street Collective, Blend Culinary Foundation, and Kyoyu Sushi & BBQ for making it such a fabulous evening.

Congratulations to Iris Kaw, whose impeccable knowledge of South Yorkshire innovation bagged them a £50 Cambridge Street voucher in our tricky quiz. Bon Appétit!

*The South Yorkshire Innovation Programme is delivered by Sheffield Hallam University in partnership with The University of Sheffield and Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council, and is part-funded by the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority.
